Organization of your trip at Pondichéry
Take a plane ticket from your place to Madras, called more commonly Chennai. This big suburbs located at the north of Pondichéry has an international airport.
Located in the south coast at the Bay of Bengal, the city of Pondichéry is linked to the rest of the country by the road and railway. Therefore the most comfortable way to go to Pondichéry is to use those 160 kms of road that separated it fromChennai via Tindivanam.

Two solutions are possible:
Solution 1 : You go to Pondichéry by your own means.

Solution 2 : We can wait to you at the airport of Madras (date, hour of arrival and the number of your fly must be communicated to us)
- For 1 to 4 persons, a taxi (Ambassador) :
the rate is 200FF (around 1200 rupees - 30,49 Euros)
- For 2 to 6 persons, a taxi ( tata Sumo) 4x4 type :
the rate is 250 FF (around 1500 rupees - 38,11 Euros).
- For more than 6 persons, a mini bus :
the rate is 300 FF (around 2000 rupees - 45,73 Euros)
In the city of Pondichéry, there are auto-rickshaws and rickshaws-bikes, the price depends on the distance covered.
Those means of transport must be negociated with the chauffeur following the case and the place you wish to go.
We also offer you bicycles or scooters that we rent there (they are the most common means of transport , driving a car is strongly inadvisable)
Practical information in your care :
